Scott Preisler

Scott A. Preisler, 49, formerly of Fredonia, died of complications of diabetes Sunday, March 17, at his Sheboygan home.

Mr. Preisler was born in Milwaukee on April 13, 1969, to Harold and Cecilia Schmit Preisler.  

He grew up in Fredonia, attending St. Rose of Lima Elementary School and graduated from Ozaukee High School in 1988.  

For more than 27 years, Mr. Preisler worked for Kohler Company in the casting and finishing department. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 833.

In his spare time, Mr. Preisler enjoyed hiking with his children and dogs, especially while searching for morel mushrooms. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler and Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, his family said.

Mr. Preisler is survived by his children Ashley (Duncan Freiburger) Preisler and Mitchell, both of Fredonia; siblings Ann Preisler, John (Cindy) and David (Lori), all of Fredonia; and former wife Brenda Preisler of Fredonia.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Divine Savior Parish, St. Rose Church, in Fredonia.  

Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 9 to 11:15 a.m.

Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery in Fredonia.

Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
