Saluting our veterans

Members of the Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470 in Saukville were out in force last weekend, distributing poppies in memory of veterans who gave their lives. (From the top photo) Legion Commander Denise Jamrozy, Don Race and Sue Mikyska greeted people who drove to the Legion hall to get their poppies on Saturday. On Friday, Donald Schanen handed out poppies at Piggly Wiggly in Saukville. Landt-Thiel Legion members dedicated a 25-foot-tall flag pole and flag, which the Legion Post donated, on Sept. 30 at Ozaukee Christian School in the Town of Trenton. Top photos by Sam Arendt
