A 34-year-old Town of Fredonia man was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court last week with possessing child pornography after Facebook flagged an exchange between him and another man.

Ryan J. Wright is also charged with one felony count of second-offense of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

According to the criminal complaint, after Facebook flagged messages sent and received by Wright referring to young boys, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported the messages to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

A video clip sent from Ryan’s account shows him kissing, licking and smelling a shoe while acting in a sexual manner, the complaint states.

On May 30, a sheriff’s office detective executed a search warrant at Wright’s home, where he found several electronic media devices in Wright’s bedroom. A preview of one of the devices revealed a video of boys about 12 to 14 years old having sex with each other, according to the complaint.

Also found in Wright’s bedroom were 19.1 grams of marijuana and numerous devices used for smoking marijuana.

Possession of child pornography is punishable by a maximum 15 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.

Because Wright is charged as a repeat offender, he could face additional time behind bars. He was previously convicted of several drug charges, according to court records

Ozaukee County Circuit Judge Joseph Voiland set Wright’s bail at $10,000 and ordered him not to use computers or cell phones and not to have contact with minors if released from custody.
