Family activities on tap at Port library in December

Family activities are on tap at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington during December.

Family Fun Day at the Library will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

A wide variety of activities, including a used book sale, craft project, meet and greet and photos with book characters Elephant and Piggie and refreshments that include hot cider and cookies, will be part of the event.

Family Board Game Day will be held from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.

The theme is “on-the-go games.” The library will have some games on hand, including Spot It!, Forbidden Island, Bad Beets  and Simon’s Cat, but participants may bring their own games as well.

Children younger than 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The upper floor of the library will be closed for both events, so those attending are asked to use the Grand Avenue entrance.

The library at 316 W. Grand Ave. is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

For more information about events, call 284-5031 or visit wjnlib.org.
