Fall Into Grafton to serve up loads of weekend family fun

Fall Into Grafton will feature free family fun and entertainment at the Paramount Plaza in downtown Grafton from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

On Friday, the Oktoberfest Beer Garden at Atlas BBQ, 1304 12th Ave., will offer German beers from the Fermentorium with a keg tapping beginning at 5 p.m. There will also be German food and a pig roast. 

Live music will be performed by Borderline Reckless from 6 to 9 p.m.

Patrons can also share their artistic creativity by bringing a carved pumpkin for display at the Plaza on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. followed by the pumpkin lighting at 7 p.m. Free pumpkins are available for pickup at the Parks and Recreation Department.

On Saturday, the Grafton Lions Club will host a Breakfast Buffet at Atlas BBQ from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage links, smoked ham, pumpkin and plain pancakes, breakfast potatoes, fruit, applesauce and beverages. There will also be a coloring contest for children. The cost is $10.50 for adults and $5.50 for children 10 and younger.

A PumpkinCross Bike Race will take place at Lime Kiln Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pumpkin Fest will be at the Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

There will also be games, a scavenger hunt, cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, photo booth, Kohl’s Wild Theater and a balloon maker.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a Kohl’s Color Wheel Kid Zone.

The Atlas BBQ Oktoberfest Beer Garden will also be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sahale Ale Works will also host an Oktoberfest from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The annual Pumpkin Derby will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Bridge Street.
