Drive-in Easter service draws a crowd

Members of Living Hope Lutheran Church in Saukville celebrated Easter Sunday with a drive-in worship service. Those attending stayed in their cars while celebrants led the service from a temporary altar set up at the church’s entrance (top photo). Attendees were given bread and wine for communion and an order of service when they entered the church parking lot. They tuned in to 88.5 FM on their radios (bottom photo) to hear the service. “People were euphoric,” church Deacon Chris Lear said. “This was as close as we’ve been able to come to meeting together” since social distancing restrictions were put in place due to the Covid-19 outbreak. “There were a lot of smiles.” Photos by Sam Arendt
