Dragon Self-Defense classes begin Jan. 21

The Grafton Parks and Recreation Department is offering self-defense lessons for children ages 4 through 12.

The next session of Dragons Self-Defense classes will be held on Tuesdays from Jan. 21 to March 3. Beginner lessons will be from 5:30 to 6:10 p.m. and advanced lessons will be from 6:15 to 6:55 p.m.

Sensei Stan will instruct youngsters lessons on karate, safety awareness, and how to identify, avoid, reason with, and evade or defend themselves against a bully. The focus of the lessons will be on handling a non-conflict resolution.

The fee is $56 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
