Documentary “The Rape of Recy Taylor” shown

The documentary film “The Rape of Recy Taylor” will be shown at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept, 21, at Unitarian Church North, 13800 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. A discussion will follow the film, which seeks to expose a legacy of physical abuse of black women and reveals Rosa Parks’ intimate role in the story of Taylor, who went against convention and identified her rapists in the Jim Crow South.
