Caregiver Journey presentation

The first Caregiver Journey educational presentation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the North Pavilion of the Ozaukee County fairgrounds in Cedarburg.  Neuropsychologist Jessica Chapin will discuss “Preparing for the New Normal – Receiving and Living with Your Loved One’s Diagnosis.” A panel of caregivers will also share the start of their journeys which began with varying diagnoses of their loved ones. They will also key concerns and ways they managed receiving the diagnosis. Sessions will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month through September at the pavilion. Registration is requested and may be done by calling the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 284-8120, by emailing Valeree Lecey at vlecey@co.ozaukee.wi.us or online at the Caregiver Connection website, www.ozccc.org/newsevents. Respite care may be available and can be arranged during pre-registration.
