Anne “Louise” Fahey

Anne “Louise” Fahey, 87, died Saturday, March 3, at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington. Mrs. Fahey was born in Chicago on June 17, 1930, to Louis and Florence Foley Beauvais. 

She graduated from MaryWood School for Girls in Evanston, Ill., and attended Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Ill.

On July 15, 1950, she married James Gregory Fahey at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wilmette, Ill.  

The couple moved to Thiensville in the late 1950s to be closer to Mr. Fahey’s parents, and they lived in various Ozaukee County communities for their remaining years.

Mrs. Fahey worked part time at the News Graphic in Cedarburg.  

According to her family, she loved her neighborhood card games, doing crossword puzzles, and playing bingo and dominos. 

She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church in Cedarburg and St. John XXIII Parish in Port Washington. 

Mrs. Fahey is survived by her children James (Deborah) of Melissa, Texas, Gregory (Debra) of Minneapolis,  Matthew (Debra) of Grafton, Bridget (Joseph) Mayek of Clintonville, Paul (Mary) of West Bend and Sean (Tami) of Cedarburg. 

Louise is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1997, parents, her stepmother Marguerite Stokes, and sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Franklin Marten.

A memorial Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Port Washington.  Visitation will be at the church  from 5 p.m. Thursday until the Mass.  

Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Northbrook, Ill.

Memorials are suggested to St. John XXIII Parish, Port Washington.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
