‘Blue Christmas’ service will be held on Dec. 11

“Blue Christmas: A Time for Reflection and Remembrance” will be held at 7 p.m.  Wednesday, Dec. 11, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Random Lake.

The session is intended for people who find it difficult to cope with the joy and happiness that surround them at the holidays.

That includes people who have suffered a death or are missing a loved one who is far from home, as well as people who are unemployed or received a serious medical diagnosis or other bad new.

The event includes a prayer service and fellowship time.

In case of inclement weather, the service will be held on Dec. 13, but those planning to attand are asked to call Deb Hamm at (262) 488-4542 to ensure it is be rescheduled.

The event is sponsored by the Random Lake Area Ecumenical Association.

 The church is at 98 Random Lake Rd.
